Explanation of Custody Transfer Equipment Calibration and Tank Calibration
In the transfer of oil, gas, refinery products, and their derivatives via vessels, tank trucks, and pipelines, potential risks include quantity loss, quality changes, and contamination that can affect product quality and lead to financial losses.
To avoid these losses, PT SUCOFINDO provides services to help ensure the accuracy of volumetric measuring equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and standards in the oil and gas industry. This service also helps fulfill regulatory requirements by providing calibration certificates and equipment usage permits.
Scope of Custody Transfer Equipment Calibration and Tank Calibration
To mitigate risks, PT SUCOFINDO’s scope includes calibration activities for measuring equipment used in the custody transfer of oil and gas products and their derivatives. Calibration can be performed on dynamic measuring equipment (provers and flow meters) and static measuring equipment (storage tanks and ship tanks).
Calibration execution can stand alone to fulfill the customer's internal quality management requirements or to meet regulatory requirements (Directorate General of Oil and Gas and Directorate of Metrology).
